My art work in this exhibition explores themes related to the past woollen mills and carpet industry of Meath. By isolating the individual processes involved in these craft industries I explore their materiality. I focus on retaining the memory of some traditional element of the craft which may trigger the audiences’ interest, produce that irresistible urge to touch and also force them to reassess the categorisations of craft versus art.
